യിസ്രായേലിൽനിന്നും കൂട്ടക്കൊലയ്ക്കിടെ ഒക്ടോബർ 7 ന് ഹമാസ് തട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയവരിൽ രണ്ട് ഇസ്രായേലി സ്ത്രീകളെക്കൂടെ തിങ്കളാഴ്ച മോചിപ്പിച്ചതായി ഇസ്രായേൽ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയുടെ ഓഫീസ് അറിയിച്ചു. എന്നാൽ അവരുടെ ഭർത്താക്കന്മാർ ഇപ്പോഴും ബന്ദികളായി അവശേഷിക്കുന്നു. നൂറ് കൂപ്പർ (79), യോചെവെദ് ലിഫ്ഷിറ്റ്സ് (85) എന്നിവരെയാണ് മോചിപ്പിച്ചത്. ഹമാസ് ബന്ദികളാക്കിയതായി കരുതുന്ന 222 പേർ ഇപ്പോഴും അജ്ഞാത കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിൽ തടവിലാണ്. നേരത്തെ അമേരിക്കയിലെയും ഖത്തറിലെയും നയതന്ത്രജ്ഞർ നടത്തിയ ചർച്ചകൾക്ക് ശേഷം വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച ഹമാസ് മറ്റ് രണ്ട് ബന്ദികളെ വിട്ടയച്ചിരുന്നു. രണ്ട് ഇസ്രായേലി സ്ത്രീകളെക്കൂടെ ഹമാസ് വിട്ടയച്ചു.

ബന്ദികളെ മോചിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനും ഗാസയിലേക്ക് സഹായം എത്തിക്കുന്നതിനും സമയം അനുവദിക്കുന്നതിനായി അധിനിവേശ പദ്ധതി വൈകിപ്പിക്കാൻ അമേരിക്കൻ പ്രസിഡന്റ് ജോ ബൈഡന്റെ ഭരണകൂടം ഇസ്രായേലിനെ ഉപദേശിച്ചതായി തിങ്കളാഴ്ച ന്യൂയോർക്ക് ടൈംസ് പത്രം ഉദ്ധരിച്ച് യുഎസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ പറഞ്ഞു. എന്നാൽ എന്നാൽ യിസ്രായേൽ കരയുദ്ധം ആരംഭിച്ചച്ചതായും ഇസ്രയേൽ സൈന്യം ഗാസയിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചതായും ഹമാസ് ആരോപിച്ചു. ഗാസയിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ച സൈന്യത്തെ തങ്ങൾ നേരിട്ടുവെന്ന് ഹമാസ് വൃത്തങ്ങളെ ഉദ്ധരിച്ച് അൽജസീറ റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്തു. ഗാസയിലെ രക്തകലുഷിതമായ രാത്രികളിൽ ഒന്നായിരിക്കും ഇതെന്ന് അൽജസീറ റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്യുന്നു.

ജനങ്ങൾ തിങ്ങിപ്പാർത്തിരുന്ന ഗാസയിലെ റെസിഡൻഷ്യൽ മേഖലയിലും ജബലിയ അഭയാർഥി ക്യാമ്പിലും ഗാസയ്ക്കരികിലുള്ള അൽ-ഷിഫ, അൽ- ഖുദ്സ് ആശുപതികൾക്ക് നേരെയും ഇസ്രയേൽ ബോംബാക്രമണം നടത്തിയതായി റിപ്പോർട്ടിൽ പറയുന്നു. ആക്രമണത്തിൽ നൂറുക്കണക്കിനുപേർ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടതായി ആരോഗ്യപ്രവർത്തകർ വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു.
